2014 National Community Development Week Planning Guide

National Community Development Week will be held on April 21-26, 2014.  This year marks the 40th anniversary of the CDBG program. We urge all CDBG and HOME grantees to undertake activities during this week to help bring national attention to both programs, particularly the need for increased program funding.  Congress will be in recess this week, so please invite your Congressional members to your National CD Week activities, schedule a meeting with them in their District offices to discuss the need for increased program funding, or at the minimum, send them a fact sheet that highlights the cuts to your program allocations over the past few years. Please contact Vicki Watson at vicki@ncdaonline.org with any questions.
